Boasting two growing businesses DIY Depot Midrand and Underfoot Flooring SA and a degree in branding communication specialising in art direction, the all round creative and seasoned entertainer has been earmarked by media across Africa as an act primed to make a major impact on the African and Global scene.
Fresh from releasing one of the biggest collaborations in South Africa entitled “Mercy” by the SAMA award winning Dj Sliqe, the certified hit-maker features alongside Ricky Rick, Kwesta & Reason. Thaiwanda also shares co-production credits on “Mercy” with multi-platinum producer and SAMA award winner Tweezy.
His recent offering "Bangers And Mashups 3" the remix project has received rave reviews from fans to major media outlets across Africa and earned him multiple features in magazine's such as the prestigious Hype Magazine. With his upcoming "ANIMALE EP", Thaiwanda aims to introduce a new and unique sound - a blend of POP, EDM, TRAP, AFROBEAT and DANCEHALL with a focus on quality production and songwriting.
Animale, the title single from the EP, also featured in "Turn Down For What" by multi-platinum producer/DJ Dj Snake's "Snake & Friends Mix", which Snake debut in Las Vegas. Thaiwanda is currently collaborating with 3x Grammy Award Winner and Multi-Platinum producer and 1/3 of @ItsTheOrder Brian Soko (producer of Beyonce's mega-hit "Drunk In Love" ft Jay Z). He is has worked in a similar capacity with upcoming pop producing sensation T-Collar (producer of Rita Ora "Body On Me" ft Chris Brown). Collaborating as both A&R and production partner for both on a number of projects locally and abroad.
Thaiwanda’s talent as a producer and composer has been instrumental to the success of hits such as Cassper Nyovest's "Phumakim" and Chad Da Don's latest offering "EFT" ft SOKO.
Thaiwanda is the mastermind behind hits such as "Butterfly" with Shelton Forbez along with the chart topper Pretty Black Rose ft DotCom, Stilo Magolide and hosted by DJ Radix - all singles he wrote, produced and designed the accompanying artworks for.
